A breakout of counterfeit $100 bills in Kershaw County led the Sheriff's Office to issue a warning on Wednesday.
The KCSO said several fake bills have been given to businesses in Camden and Elgin in recent days.
All bills, according to a release from the sheriff's office, are in the 1993 series with the same serial number: A09096251A.
"They have an older, weathered look and are very difficult to spot to the untrained eye. A counterfeit detection marking pen will not work on these bills," the release said.
If you think you may have received one call the U.S. Secret Service at 803-772-4015.
