A 45-year-old Chapin man has been arrested on child porn charges, the S.C. Attorney General’s Office announced Thursday.
Gregory Christopher Young is charged with one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after the SLED arrest. The felony is punishable up to 10 years in jail.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported suspected images of child pornography uploaded to a web site in December, according to a press release. Those images led investigators to Young’s residence. On Wednesday, SLED Computer Crime agents and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on Young’s residence, where he was arrested.
In January 2014, Young was arrested in Georgia for soliciting a minor.
The case will be prosecuted by Attorney General Alan Wilson’s office.
