RCSD: suspect broke into vehicle, charged almost $700 to stolen credit card

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect accused of theft from a motor vehicle.

The suspect broked into a vehicle at 521 North Brickyard Road between 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Feb. 16, Sheriff Lott said.

Sheriff Lott said the suspect damaged the door locks of the 2004 Lexus RX330 and stole a credit card and Lowe’s gift card.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance using the stolen credit card at the Game Stop at 7362 Two Notch Road.

Lott said the suspect charged a total $690.46 to the stolen card at and Exxon Gas Station, Big Lots, Dollar General and Game Stop.
