Two charged in connection with 2013 Hartsville fire

Police say two men have been charged in connection with a January 2013 fire that destroyed a Hartsville home.
Matthew Eric Key, 29, and Curtis Atkinson, 80, both of Hartsville, have each been charged with Arson-Third Degree, Criminal Conspiracy and Making a False Insurance Claim to Obtain Benefits for Fire or Explosion Loss.
The felony charges can carry up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
The fire took place at 2165 Robinson View Drive on Jan. 18, 2013.
Key and Atkinson are being held at the Darlington County Detention Center.
The S.C. Law Enforcement Division investigated the case.
