A wide variety of charges were filed against race faces by several law enforcement agencies monitoring Interstate 20 following Saturday’s NASCAR race at Darlington Raceway.
The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office announced the following: 14 open containers, three DUIs, 3 possession of drug paraphernalia, two marijuana possession, two trafficking narcotics (cocaine and methamphetamine), one without a valid driver’s license, one driving under suspension, one seized vehicle and one fugitive from justice.
Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said this was the third year that his office, in conjunction with several other agencies, has monitored traffic following the race.
