Members of the public can tour the new substation in Chapin for Lexington County deputies from 4-6 p.m. April 24.
The facility is at 103 Columbia Ave, the community’s former Town Hall.
It will be the base for 11 deputies, although not staffed continuously throughout the day. Sgt. David Amick oversees its operation.
The facility was turned over to deputies to their use after town leaders moved to a larger facility nearby in December.
