Columbia police released surveillance photos from the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank on Harbison Boulevard shortly before noon Thursday. The suspect handed a note to the teller demanding money. She complied. He put the money in a yellow and black book back and fled the bank in a light colored four-door car, possibly a white or silvery Chevy, Police Chief Skip Holbrook said in a release.

The suspect was described as a black male about 6-feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and vest, light shorts and a ‘doo-rag.’

Anyone who can help identify the suspect or information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
