Richland County Sheriff’s Department partnered with the Faith Coalition on Gun Violence to collect 29 guns Saturday.
“These weapons were brought in by individuals who no longer wanted them,” said Sgt. Curtis Wilson, spokesman for the department.
A variety of guns were collected including handguns, rifles and shotguns, Wilson said. Gun locks and gun safety training were also provided, he said.
