2nd arrest made in Columbia cell phone burglary

A second suspect has been arrested on charges of stealing more than $38,000 in cell phones from a business.

Christopher Strickland, 19, is charged with third-degree burglary, grand larceny and conspiracy. He was arrested on unrelated charges in Georgia and was discovered wanted by the Columbia Police Department. He was brought to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center from Georgia on Monday.

Strickland is accused of cutting a lock on a cabinet at an electronics store located at 6070 Garners Ferry Road last March, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Thomas Sumlin, another suspect in the case, was arrested in September on the same charges. He was also located in Georgia.

Officers continue to search for third suspect, Diona Murray, 39.
