Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a Norway man after finding stolen vehicles on his property.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Barnwell and Bamberg county officers contacted the Sheriff’s Department about an investigation of stolen items.

“There investigation indicated George Sean Wilson may have information concerning the stolen items,” Ravenell said.

Officers went to Wilson’s home Thursday, but no one was home, according to Ravenell.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers found a Jeep Grand Cherokee with VIN and license plates registered to two different owners, Ravenell said.

Sheriff Ravenell said officers also found a Polaris 4-wheeler, reported stolen from Orangeburg County; a small Honda Dirt Bike, reported stolen from Richland County; a Harley Davidson, reported stolen from Barnwell County; and a Kawaski motorcycle.

A Ruger MKII semi auto pistol with a homemade silencer and a gun safe were also removed from the home, according to Ravenell.

Authorities believe Wilson returned to his home and left on a 4-wheeler when he saw law enforcement on his property.

Wilson is wanted on three warrants for receiving stolen goods and one warrant for tampering with a VIN.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
