A 47-year-old woman wanted for murder in Texas was arrested Tuesday in Richland County.
Gloria Aiken was arrested at her home on Windstone Drive without incident by the Richland County Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshal's Office.
Aiken's arrest was requested by the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office in Waxahachie Texas. An arrest warrant was issued for Aiken by the Texas State Grand Jury on an indictment for the murder of her common-law husband in February 2008, according to a press release from the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
After Aiken's common-law husband was reported missing, according to the release, his dismantled body parts were discovered in different locations in the area across Texas.
Aiken has waived extradition back to Texas and Texas authorities are making arrangements to have her returned.
Aiken is being housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
