Orangeburg Coroner IDs 3 victims of Thursday's I-26 crash

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has identified three people killed in an early Thursday morning crash on I-26.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has identified three people killed in an early Thursday morning crash on I-26.

Desmond L. Martin, 41, of Florida; Christopher E. Everett, 18, of North Carolina; and Davie’you Brown, 3, of Florida; were killed in the accident, which happened around 3 a.m. Thursday morning at mile marker 164 in Orangeburg County.

A fourth passenger survived the accident and is listed in stable condition at a local hospital, according to the Coroner’s Office.

A 2001 Freightliner traveling east on I-26 ran off the road, went down an embankment and crashed into several trees, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
