Lexington teen arrested after fatal Pine Ridge stabbing

A 23-year-old West Columbia man was stabbed to death on Monday evening in Lexington County.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and Pine Ridge Police Department are investigating the incident, which occurred at approximately 9 p.m. Monday on Dogwood Road.

The victim was identified Tuesday by the coroner’s office as James Galloway. He bled to death after being stabbed multiple times in the back.

Nicholas Benjamin Chhith-Berry, 17, of Barco Court, Lexington, is charged with murder, according to Lexington County’s court records.
