Sheriff: 13-month-old dies after left in car for an hour and a half

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 13-month-old child who was left in a vehicle for about an hour and a half died.
The incident happened Sunday.
Investigators say the child was left in the vehicle for approximately an hour and a half before being disovered by the parents.
The parents immediately took the child to the hospital for treatment in critical condition, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The child died early Wednesday morning, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken has ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The incident remains under investigation.
