The public’s help in identifying suspects in the brutal beating of a teenager is being sought by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Plain and Truman streets, near the intersection of Two Notch Road and Beltline Boulevard. The 15-year-old male victim was assaulted by several people and struck in the upper body by an object.

He was in serious condition at Palmetto Health Richland hospital on Friday.
