Suspect identified in Vista shooting incident

A 24-year-old man has been identified as the suspect in last weekend's shooting incident in the Vista.
Nicholas Maurice Dickerson has been identified as the suspect by the Columbia Police Department.
According to a release from city police, Dickerson upon capture will be charged with breach of peace, unlawful carrying of a pistol and discharging a firearm in city limits.
Dickerson is accused of firing a handgun into a crowd of people at 1231 Lincoln St. in the early morning hours of June 1. Investigators believe the incident stemmed from an altercation at a local business.
Officers collected evidence and located property damage, but no victims, at the time of the incident.
Investigators are also attempting to locate anyone who was a part of the crowd.
