A 27-year-old man turned himself in to authorities after he was named as a suspect in the weekend burglary of numerous weapons and other items from an Eastover home, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release.
Herschel Ray Taylor was charged with burglary and possession with intent to distribute marijuana Tuesday, June 10.
Taylor allegedly broke into the house at 236 Millwood Drive, Eastover around 6 pm on Saturday and stole an AK-47, AR-15, 22 caliber handgun, Ruger P345 semi automatic handgun, Mossberg 500 shotgun, 2 flat screen TVs, Xbox gaming system, and 8 pair of Air Jordan tennis shoes. The estimated value of the stolen items was $7.1K, Lott said.
