Lexington Coroner IDs victim of fatal two-vehicle collision

Lexington County Coroner Earl Wells has identified the person killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on SC 6 in Lexington.
Gerald Zachary McKay, 22, of Columbia was killed when the car he was driving veered over the center line on SC 6 and ran into another vehicle.
McKay was taken to Lexington Medial Center where he was pronounced dead from the injuries received in the accident, Wells said.
The collision occurred at 12:35 p.m. on South Lake Drive (SC 6), which is about four miles east of Lexington.
The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
