The Winnsboro Public Safety office is requesting the communities help in locating a man wanted for murder.
Chief F.J. Lorick, a department spokesman, said an active murder warrant connects Latroy “Troy” Donta Sampson, 37, for a homicide that occurred in Winnsboro sometime over the nights of July 3 and July 4.
Sampson is described as a 6-foot tall black male and weighs 250-pounds. Investigators believe that Sampson has connections in the Columbia area and maybe near Oceola and South Saluda Streets.
