Richland County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect wanted on two counts of arson.
Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspect was captured on surveillance video allegedly setting fire to a blue BMW in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn at 8105 Two Notch Road just before 11 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect also caused significant damage to a nearby Chevy Impala, Lott said.
Lott said the suspect was driving a white, two-door vehicle, possibly a Lexus.
“The suspect is captured running from the vehicle after it catches fire,” Lott said. “He is seen returning to retrieve the gas can he used to ignite the fire.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
