A 20-year-old Sumter man was arrested Thursday and charged in connection to a run-in with Sumter Police that ended up in a chase a week ago, Sumter Police said.
Shaquille Morique Leneau was charged with two counts of attempted murder after the vehicle he was driving ran into two Sumter Police cars that were responding to a reported break-in at the Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church Thursday night, August 26.
Leneau allegedly abandoned his vehicle after being chased by Sumter police and has been on the run since then.
He was taken into custody without incident and was being held at the Sumter-Lee Detention Center Thursday.
