Camden police say a Camden High School student told them he received cell-phone threats, allegedly from someone from Dreher High School, following an on-field fight between the two schools.
Someone has been sending threats within the past few days that the “Dirty30 want war” to a Camden High School student, according to an incident report.
The threats were posted on Instagram and then sent to the student’s cell phone, police said. Photos of the threats were taken by police for the report.
The student receiving the threats does not know who sent them, according to the incident report.
Two players are facing criminal assault charges following a post-game fight that broke out between the Camden and Dreher high school football teams on Oct. 17 in Camden.
Orlando Zaquan Williams, 17, of Camden and Jeffrey Jordan Wider, 17, of Columbia have each been charged with third-degree assault and battery, Capt. Mike Stone, a department spokesman, said in a press release Thursday.
