Two of three charges against a former University of South Carolina and NFL football star accused of inappropriately touching female high school students has been dismissed, according to public records.
Harold Green II, 46, now faces one count of third-degree assault and battery, according to records.
Green was arrested Sept. 8 after he turned himself in to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The charges involve alleged incidents between Aug. 9-28, in which Green was accused of inappropriately touching female students ages 15-17 while he was a volunteer football coach at Spring Valley High School. He is no longer a volunteer with the school, according to the district.
Green played for the University of South Carolina from 1986-89, and he played for nine seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, St. Louis Rams and Atlanta Falcons.
