A man was robbed inside his apartment off Decker Boulevard after two men knocked on the door and forced their way in Friday night, officials say.
Richland County sheriff’s deputies responded to the armed robbery just before 7 p.m. at an apartment at 88 Crofton Way in the Woodfield neighborhood near Richland Northeast High School.
The victim responded to a knock at his door, and two unknown males forced their way in, according to Lt. Curtis Wilson of the sheriff’s department. The men struck the victim in the upper body with a handgun and stole cash and property before fleeing the area, Wilson said.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
