Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for anyone who has information regarding the death of 19-year-old Clemson student Tucker Hipps.
The organization posted an ad on its Greenville Facebook page asking anyone with information to call in and submit tips to help investigators get more information about how Hipps died.
Hipps’ body was found in Lake Hartwell Sept. 22 after he allegedly fell from the Highway 93 bridge that spans the lake. Coroner Karl Addis said Hipps died from injuries consistent with a 20-foot fall. Hipps was on an early-morning run with fraternity brothers before he was reported missing by members of the fraternity.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1 (888)-CRIME-SC.
