The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has identified the two suspects arrested early Monday morning in connection with a stabbing that left one victim wounded.
Lt. Curtis Wilson, a sheriff’s department spokesman, said Jose Chirinos, 29, and Santos Aguilera, 26, have both been charged with attempted murder after stabbing a man outside of a billiards hall on the 1800 block of Decker Boulevard.
Wilson said Chirinos and Aguilera, along with one victim, were asked to leave the business after a verbal argument broke out between them. Once outside, Chirinos and Aguilera pulled out knives and attempted to stab the victim. After a short foot chase across the street, they began stabbing the victim multiple times before fleeing the area on foot.
Wilson said the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s condition is currently unknown.
