Columbia police are searching for suspects who may have been involved in a shooting that occurred late Tuesday night which wounded one victim.
Columbia police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 900 block of Heidt Street off Preston Street, near the Martin Luther King Jr. Park, just before 11 p.m., according to Columbia police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons.
Timmons said there was one male victim who was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for a gunshot wound. The victim’s current condition is unknown.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incident and more information will be released as it becomes available, Timmons said.
