A Spartanburg man has received a seven year prison sentence for possession of child pornography, officials say.
Kenneth D. Griffin Jr., 34, received the sentence of 88 months in prison in Greenville’s federal court Monday, U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said in a statement. In addition Griffin will be placed on supervised release for life.
Evidence presented at the hearing showed that Griffin was sending emails containing images of child pornography. An FBI investigation connected Griffin’s email account with his physical address, Nettles said.
Griffin’s computer was seized and a forensic exam conducted in April of 2013 revealed the computer held hundreds of images of child pornography. In addition, Griffin admitted to investigators that he had been seeking child pornography online, Nettles said.
