Lexington County deputies have arrested two men accused of breaking into a home and stealing $678 worth of jewelry, electronics and cash.
Macario Justice Johnson, 23, has been charged with second degree burglary, and Bryan William Smoak, 32, has been charged with first degree burglary, according to Sheriff Lewis McCarty.
Deputies say a witness saw the two men exit a home on Delree Street near West Columbia Wednesday morning, McCarty said.
Johnson and Smoak broke into the home around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday by forcing open a back door, McCarty said. The men stole money, a Samsung tablet computer and three gold necklaces.
A witness saw Johnson and Smoak exit the home following the burglary and run from the residence, according to an arrest warrant.
The witness provided deputies with a description of Johnson and Smoak, McCarty said. They were arrested shortly after breaking into the home.
Anyone with information about criminal activity invovling Johnson or Smoak is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
