Richland County sheriff’s deputies charged a man with attempted murder in connection with a late night shooting that occurred on Tuesday.
Sgt. Kevin Lawrence, a department spokesman, said Eduardo Falero, 60, has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly fired several shots at a residence located at 10663 Wilson Boulevard in Blythewood.
Lawrence said sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence at 7:30 p.m. after receiving a shots fired call from a female victim from inside the residence. When deputies arrived, te victim told deputies that Falero retrieved a gun from a shed and fired several shots at the residence after the pair got into a verbal altercation, according to Lawrence.
The victim said she heard the gunshots and went out to the porch where she discovered that Falero was firing at her. She then locked herself inside the residence and called law enforcement.

Lawrence said deputies were able to locate Falero hiding behind the shed and also found several projectiles from the firearm near him. He was charged with attempted murder and taken into custody.
The victim told them that she and Falero had been living together for nine years and shared an 8-year-old child together, according to Lawrence. There were no injuries reported.
Falero was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he is being held.
