A 28-year-old Pelion man is in jail after a now-14-year-old girl told Lexington County Sheriff's Department detectives he had abused her and another girl.
Robert Allen Baker was arrested Tuesday on eight counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor based on the victim's statement. She said the abuse occurred between June 2007 and this month at the man's home. The second victim is 13, the sheriff's department said.
Baker is being held without bond at the Lexington County Detention Center this afternoon.
The case remains under investigation.
