CHARLESTON - Authorities said a body has been found on an island where investigators are looking for a missing 28-year-old woman.
The (Charleston) Post and Courier reported the unidentified skeletal remains were found Saturday morning on Wadmalaw Island.
Police had not identified the remains.
Authorities have been searching the area since Thursday for Katherine Waring, a part-time student who disappeared June 12. Coroner Rae Wooten said Waring was still considered missing.

Charleston police arrested a couple Wednesday on charges of forgery and obstruction of justice. Police accuse them of giving false statements about the night Waring was last seen, and of forging a check on Waring's account.
