Lexington County and Cayce law enforcement officials Tuesday charged a Gaston man with stealing a ticket dispenser containing instant scratch-off lottery tickets from a store on U.S. 321.
Kenny Lee James, 37, was also charged with second degree burglary for breaking into the store to steal tickets for the S.C. Education Lottery.
Officials said the suspect also cashed some of the tickets at a convenience store in Cayce.
James is being held at the Lexington County jail while awaiting a bond hearing.

Warrants in the case allege that on Saturday James broke a glass pane in the front door of a Food Lion at 5204 U.S. 321 in Gaston.
Officials did not know exactly how many lottery tickets were taken or how much they were worth.
