FLORENCE - The S.C. Corrections Department is looking for a minimum-security inmate who walked away from his job site Friday morning at the state Vocational Rehabilitation office in Florence.
About 9 a.m., Derrick Gamble, who is housed at Palmer Pre-Release Center in Florence, was spotted getting into a 1999 green Ford Expedition.
Gamble, 29, is black, has brown eyes, black hair, stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans.

Gamble started serving a two-year sentence in November 2009 for habitual traffic offenses out of Sumter County. He now faces a felony escape charge that can carry up to 15 years in prison.
