Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a break-in and theft at a Lexington elementary school, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department announced today.
Sean Michael Davin Pound, 17, of Oak Drive, Lexington, and Nicholas Patrick Snipes, 18, of Duchess Trail, Lexington, face charges of second-degree burglary and criminal conspiracy in the Jan. 16 incident at Oak Grove Elementary.
Arrest warrants allege the suspects broke into the school early in the morning and took cash and electronics equipment, including computers and cameras, worth less than $2,000. Detectives say Pound and Snipes were found with items that had been reported stolen from the school.
Pound was released Jan. 22 from the Lexington County Detention Center after posting $20,000 in bail, while Snipes was being held today on bail totaling $35,000, the Sheriff’s Department said.
