Police raided on Saturday a gambling boat on Lake Marion in Orangeburg County and seized 16 illegal video poker machines.
William R. Detyens, 70, of Vance was charged with unlawful possession of a gambling device, according to a report from the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department.
He was in the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department on a $3,500 bond.
Police also seized $2,000 in the raid, the report said.
The boat, called the Mark Twain, is a three-deck vessel that resembles a large river boat. The sheriff's department report said numerous complaints had been received about the boat and noise associated with it.
The State Law Enforcement Division and S.C. Department of Natural Resources also participated in the raid. SLED issued several alcohol-related citations and DNR cited the boat owner for several violations.
