A Lexington County man is in jail after a woman was stabbed, choked and robbed.
Kyle Andrew Harmon, 26, is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, first-degree burglary and grand larceny after the Tuesday incident.
Deputies with the Richland County and Lexington County sheriff's offices and officers with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division participated in Harmon's arrest at his home on Oak Drive, the Richland County Sheriff's Office said.
The arrest followed an investigation into the Tuesday stabbing of a woman multiple times in the upper body. The woman, who also was choked into unconsciousness, was taken to Palmetto Baptist Medical Center and then the Palmetto Health Richland. Her identity and condition were not available this morning.
The attack took place at Old Clayton Court. After the stabbing, the woman's car was stolen.
Harmon is currently being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
