Authorities are searching for a fourth man wanted in connection with a shooting at S.C. State University.
Maurice Shatodd Thompson, 23, is wanted on charges of accessory after the fact of murder, the State Law Enforcement Division reported. He allegedly was part of a group of men involved in a drug deal that went bad.
The men had arranged a drug transaction on campus on the night of April 15 with Johnathan Bailey of Holly Hill. After a discussion over some marijunana's quality, one of the suspects tried to rob Bailey, according to arrest warrants.
Bailey was shot in the chest as he tried to escape.
The other three suspects involved in the shooting death are in custody.
Anyone with information on Thompson's whereabouts should call Crimestoppers at (888) 274-6372.
