Richland County sheriff’s deputies are seeking a man wanted in connection with three burglaries and attempted sexual assaults since 2010 at St. Andrews Pointe Apartments.
In the most recent assault, around 5:15 a.m. Monday, a man with a blue bandana covering his face entered a woman’s apartment and stood over her bed with a knife. He cut the victim then fled, said Sheriff Leon Lott. The injuries were not life-threatening.
Lott said the same man has been linked to two similar assaults at that apartment complex, in the 1500 block of St. Andrews Road.
On Aug. 13, around 6:40 p.m., a woman woke to find a man standing over her with a knife and demanding sex, Lott said. He was wearing socks on his hands and used his shirt to cover his face. He fled when the alarm clock went off.
Around 5:45 a.m. March 15, a man with a knife entered a woman’s apartment and demanded sex. He was wearing white long sleeve gloves and a white bandana over his face, Lott said.
