A man wanted in connection with a Sumter shooting death was apprehended Thursday morning in New York by U.S. Marshals.
Trevor Paul Davis was wanted for the May 16 death of Kadeem Robinson in Sumter County, the marshals service said.
The Sumter County Sheriff's Office requested assistance in finding him on May 24. The U.S. Marshals Task Force in Columbia developed information that Davis had been injured in the shooting and had fled to New York to evade his arrest warrant. Marshals in New York conducted surveillance at an apartment complex in Manhattan where Davis was living with family members. He was arrested Thursday morning at the apartments, the marhals service said.
Davis faces extradition hearings so he can be returned to South Carolina, said Kelvin Washington, U.S. Marshal for the District of South Carolina. - Noelle Phillips
