A 19-year-old Columbia man faces charges in connection with a break-in at an Irmo area apartment complex, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday.
Sterling Emmanuel Joyner, of Frost Avenue, Columbia, was arrested on a charge of second-degree burglary in connection with the break-in at Landmark Apartments. Joyner was being held Thursday at the Lexington County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
According to reports, around 12:56 a.m. Wednesday, deputies received a report that two men had just broken into the maintenance room and main office at the complex. The two were later seen running down a sidewalk along St. Andrews Road at a shopping center.
Deputies were able to catch one of the suspects, according to reports, later identified as Joyner. The other unidentified man is still at large.
