Richland County deputies have arrested a 20-year-old man for shooting into a crowd after an argument at Polo Road Park at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses identified Martin Quezeda as the gunman, offering deputies photos of some of the suspects and the suspects’ vehicles as they fled the area.
Sheriff Leon Lott said Saturday that Quezeda was arrested late Friday afternoon at 221 Flintlake Road without incident.
Deputies determined that 10 to 12 men were involved in an argument in the rear of the park’s parking lot when the argument became physical, the sheriff’s department said. Shots were fired by several suspects, including Quezeda, deputies said.
Quezeda is charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of pointing and presenting a weapon. His bond was set at $100,000.
Lott said the investigation could bring additional charges and arrests and pledged to keep county parks safe.
