A man is facing charges after thousands of dollars worth of cocaine and crack cocaine were seized from a Columbia home.
Anthony Arelius Spencer, 23, was arrested Friday on outstanding warrants and is expected be charged with manufacturing crack cocaine, trafficking crack cocaine, trafficking cocaine and failure to stop on police command, Columbia Police said.
Members of the police department’s Drug Suppression Team made the arrest.
According to reports, officers found the drugs inside a home in the 2400 block of Gervais Street, where Spencer and an unidentified suspect were. Officers seized about 75 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $7,500, along with more than 280 grams of cocaine valued at $20,000 to $25,000. A stolen gun from Richland County also was found inside the residence, reports said.

Spencer was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Friday on outstanding warrants of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and failure to stop on police command in connection with an unrelated October incident in the 2500 block of Forest Drive. The other warrants are expected to be served at the jail.
