A man faces charges after allegedly providing alcohol to two teenage girls, then trying to engage them in sex acts.

Richard Delano Williams, 30, is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Columbia police said Wednesday.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the 1400 block of Harden Street around 6 p.m. June 10, when the suspect allegedly gave alcoholic beverages to the two 16-year-olds. He then allegedly tried to engage in a sex act with one teen and when she refused, approached the other, who was said to be intoxicated, and engaged in a sex act without her consent, police said. Williams was charged on Wednesday.
