Sumter teen charged in series of burglaries

Michael Paterna, 17, must be in his mother's home on Lloyd Drive between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. each day and has to remain enrolled in and attending classes, according to 3rd Circuit Judge George C. James. Paterna is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary with co-defendants Bailey Ingle and Conner Mitchum, both 18. Ingle was granted a $50,000 surety bond in June, and Mitchum remains in jail.
