What is being described by the Newberry County Sheriff’s Department as a mob attack on a man and woman lead to the arrest Thursday of 5 people and search for two others.
One of the victims told investigators that she and her boyfriend were visiting friends at 125 Beacon Lane in Newberry when she was set upon by a group of women while her boyfriend was attacked by 4 men.
The boyfriend whose face was swollen and bruised “sustained significant, but non-life threatening injuries” a release from the Newberry County Sheriff’s Department stated. Both victims were treated at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital and released.
Charged with the assault are:
Alyssa Williams, 17, of Pomaria; Jessinia Rose Fischer, 21; Krystal Leann Crowley, 18; Michael Gallman, Jr., 20,; and, Antwan Lamar Gallman, 21, all of Newberry.
Being sought are Javonne Dewayne Koonce, 23, of Prosperity and Kelvin Cahill Davenport, 18, of Newberry.
