Richland County deputies are investigating a stabbing that took place at a Kangaroo gas station at Clemson and Hardscrabble Roads late Monday night.
Deputies stopped a car for speeding on Hardscrabble Road around 11 p.m. Monday night, according to Sheriff’s department spokesman Sgt. Kevin Lawrence. Deputies learned of a man who had been stabbed in the upper body at a Kangaroo gas station earlier in the evening.
The victim got into a verbal altercation at the gas station with an unknown man who stabbed him in the upper body, Sgt. Lawrence said. The victim was trying to walk home when several friends found him and took him to Palmetto Health Richland.
The man’s condition is currently unknown, Sgt. Lawrence said.
