Richland County deputies are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man who is wanted for two counts of motor vehicle theft.
Sheriff Leon Lott said on Sept. 3 Scottie Lee Brown, 41, allegedly jumped into a victim’s parked car, while she met with a friend inside of a business, in the 7800 block of Garners Ferry Road before fleeing the area.
Lott said investigators were able to determine that Brown had just left the business and was identified as the suspect in the incident.
The car was described as a black 2011 Dodge Nitro with South Carolina tag GYE-765, Lott said.
