Richland County authorities are looking for the man who, when his gas pump wasn’t turned on, attacked the gas station attendant after she returned his money, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
The incident occurred at the El Cheapo gas station located at 2426 Broad River Road at 11 p.m. Monday, September 21.
The victim told authorities that she turned on the wrong gas pump by mistake and when the customer demanded his money back, she gave it to him. He then allegedly picked up a can from a shelf and threw it at her, hitting her in the upper body. He then fled in a two-door black vehicle.
The attacker is described as a 6-foot-tall black man who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jean shorts, black and orange sneakers.
