Warrants have been issued for two men wanted in connection to a stabbing early Tuesday morning in Five Points.
Wanted for an attack on a 23-year-old man who tried to break up a fight between them and several others are Jeremy Alan Asbil, 27, and Christopher Eugene Fuller, 26, Columbia police chief Skip Holbrook said in a news release.
The fight began around 4 a.m. on the 800 block of Harden Street and ended up across the street at 727 Harden Street. The victim, who was stabbed several times in the upper and lower body, told investigators that he chased his attackers a “short distance before collapsing in the middle of Harden Street,” Holbrook said. The local hospital where he was taken told police that the young man was in stable condition.
Police have talked to witnesses and believe that Asbill, pictured in an orange polo shirt, was the primary aggressor in the attack. He is wanted for attempted murder and breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature. Fuller is believed to have been involved in the fight that led to the stabbing faces the charge of breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.
